What is the Post
High Survival Camp to Boundary Waters?
Imagine the sound of
absolute silence. No vehicular noise, no barking
dogs or the sound of trains and airplanes. The only
thing you hear is the sound of the wind, an
occasional bird, the cackling of a fresh water
stream, an occasional deer call or a bear deep in
the woods.
Imagine experiencing God
free from the busyness of our world, free from the
stress of the daily grind and the pressures of life.
Imagine getting to know Jesus Christ in a way that
leaves you changed forever.
Your dreams can come
true. You have the opportunity to join 8 others in a
wilderness experience of a lifetime. Hiking,
canoeing, camping, laughing, singing, and even
resting—you can anticipate it all.
Sign up for this
summer’s Post High Survival camp to Boundary Waters
Minnesota to have the vacation with Jesus Christ
you’ve always dreamed about. Early registrations are
due by March 1, 2007. Last chance registrations are
due April 1, 2007.
Outdoors
Fun
If you’ve ever been
camping before, or even just visited a state park,
or watched the discovery channel, you already know
the kind of scenery you’ll be able to enjoy. We’ll
be driving to upper Minnesota to begin hiking and
canoeing deep into the woods, miles from the nearest
civilization. Part of the time we’ll be canoeing
from lake to lake, enjoying some of the purest
wilderness in the United States.
We’ll be cooking over a
fire, walking through woods on beaten trails, and
observing some of the most natural wildlife
possible. Everything you bring with you, you’ll
carry on your back. (So pack as lightly as
possible!) You might even find a chance to do some
pike fishing!
Spiritual Retreat
The purpose of this
wilderness experience is to place you in an
environment where you can experience God in the most
real way possible. You will be guided spiritually by
your group leader to come to a place in your
relationship with Jesus Christ that leaves you
transformed forever. From quiet times to group times
to daily challenge times, you’ll be able to approach
spiritual growth in ways you never thought possible.
Ministry
Challenge
Many of us between the
ages of 18 and 30 (and sometimes beyond) wonder
about our purpose in life. We ask the question,
“what is it that God wants me to do with my life?”
Through the uniqueness of this trip, you will be
challenged to answer this question and hopefully
come to a better understanding about what God wants
you to do with your life. If you already have an
idea, you will be given an opportunity to look at
that idea closer, reflecting on the person God has
created you to be.
Community Building
Groups can be no larger
than nine (including the leader). This will allow us
to build each other up in community, learning about
God’s love while we interact and build new
relationships.
