Volunteer / Ministry Enlistment
Ministry Enlistment
The Ministry Enlistment process is a special time of year (usually the last Sunday in November) when all people of the congregation are encouraged to offer themselves as living sacrifices (Rom. 12:1-2, Matt. 4:18-22, Heb. 11, James 2:20-24), willing to be used by the Lord for the service in the church in assortment of different areas related to their spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and previous life experiences. This is a time of commitment and rejuvenation for serving the next year (January to December).
Ministry Enlistment Booklets
Regular church attenders are encouraged to read through a list of varying areas for service in the church and indicate in writing their preferred ministry area. This is done through the use of an updated Ministry Enlistment Booklet. These booklets are to be brought forward as a responsive offering at a special time during the regular worship service(s). The booklets themselves become symbolic of our whole being being laid upon the altar as an offering to God.
After the Ministry Enlistment period is over, booklets are compiled, categorized in a database, and results passed on to each Ministry leader for their use in recruitment, equipping, empowering and encouragement as our church follows the vision God has given us in the next year.
