Our Ministry Flow is geared to move regular people like you and me from a point of our first experience with God to a deep, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ in which we respond with our life in ministry as God has geared us to minister joyfully. Library Ministry

Our newly updated church library continues to grow. Come check out some of the latest fiction and non-fiction Christian titles. Anyone is welcome to check books out in our church library. We just ask you to fill out the card inside the cover of each book and place it in the proper file on one of the bookshelves, so we can keep track of the book you borrowed. Each book may be borrowed up to 2 weeks and then renewed for additional 2 week blocks.

Summer Vacation Bible School

Each Summer we try to provide our children with some extra programming to serve a number of purposes: 1. To teach them more about Christ, 2. to give parents a place to send their kids for some "adult time", 3. to reach out to the community, 4. to have a really fun time together, 5. to have a really fun time!

Children’s Ministry

“Jesus loved the little children,” the old children’s song goes. We take children’s ministry seriously at First Brethren Church. All of our children’s workers have gone through the process of fingerprinting and criminal background checks for the safety of our children and the workers themselves.

Children can expect a range of games, crafts, visual aids, their own personalized worship time, and discipleship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights during our children’s meeting times. Each child is welcomed and loved by children’s workers who are gifted and talented in working with children.

Our facilities are geared and decorated specifically for each age range. We have been blessed over the years to have such wonderful facilities dedicated toward the spiritual and physical growth of our children. We consider one of our greatest priorities at the First Brethren Church to be our children. Therefore we welcome your children to our program so that we may share with them the love of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

Summer Church Camp

Each summer our students are given the opportunity to spend a week at Camp Shipshewana in Shipshewana, IN. There are a range of different camps available for our students. The First Brethren Church offers a 50% scholarship to those who would like it to help with the cost of church camp. Camp Shipshewana also offers scholarships to new campers, friends of campers, a multi-camp discount ($100 off if you attend more than one camp during the summer), and more. Small Groups

    In today’s society, most churches are seeing their Sunday school programs in a state of decline or stagnancy. Younger people, unchurched people, and even people of older generations who have been attending church for decades, are finding small groups to be a comfortable inroad to church life. Our small group ministry is beginning to blossom. We are looking to make our small group ministry one of our larger ministries at First Brethren Church. Many of our groups are new and just forming. So now is your chance to become a part of a fellowship of brothers and sisters of whom you can share life with and be supported as you walk this intriguing journey.
